OVERVIEW
The Radium Engineering fuel pump hangers permits the use of 1, 2, or 3 aftermarket pumps in the stock RH C8 Corvette fuel tank. There are 3 common ways to configure this fuel system; Direction injection only, direct injection with port injection, and direct injection with port injection while using this hanger as a true surge tank. Furthermore, it is compatible with brushless fuel pumps. To simplifying aftermarket -AN hose plumbing, the 10AN ORB threaded feed port features a low profile 8AN male fitting and the 8AN ORB threaded return port features a low profile 6AN male fitting. A 3/8" SAE quick connect fitting is provided if using the hanger as a surge tank.
THREE POSSIBLE CONFIGURATIONS
NOTES
- The engine is commonly removed for accessing the fuel tanks.
- This fuel hanger seamlessly reuses the large EVAP connections.
FUEL STARVATION
A siphon jet pump is integrated into the system. Using a venturi-effect, this "mechanical" pump draws fuel from outside the collector and distributes it directly to the pump inlets. It is driven by the energy built by the fuel pump(s) and only consumes 15-45 LPH of fuel flow, depending on fuel pressure. Take this fuel flow loss into consideration when sizing the fuel pump(s).
Several mechanisms work together to move fuel into the integrated collector and keep it full at all times. This ensures the pump(s) have adequate fuel available, even during aggressive driving. The integrated fuel tank collector is supplied with fuel from 3 different sources:
- The 1-piece anodized aluminum collector box keeps fuel trapped around the pump inlet(s).
- There are three 1-way fill valves incorporated in the bottom of the collector box that allows fuel in, but not out. Each 1-way fill valve flows 355 LPH.
- The collector box is constantly replenished with fuel returning from the pressure regulator.
ELECTRICAL
The custom designed anti-rotation stainless electrical studs easily handle the high current demand that compact bulkhead connectors lack. These serviceable connections are properly sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels.
Nonconductive acorn nuts are provided to prevent any accidental short circuits. Furthermore, the high quality in-tank wiring is insulated with chemically resistant ETFE. Fuel pump wiring kits can be purchased HERE. Select qty1 for single pump applications, qty2 for dual pump applications, and qty3 for triple pump applications.
OPTIONAL PARTS
12MM STRAINER BASE FOR BRUSHLESS PUMP OPTIONS
When using the 20-1112 hanger model along with the brushless pumps listed in the pump compatibility section with a note numbered (3) on it, this strainer base must be used to accept the larger inlet diameter of those pumps. It is only needed for pumps with this note on them.
2020+ CORVETTE OEM FPR DELETE
If installing this hanger in the merged pumps configuration, the OEM FPR inside your OEM fuel pump module must be delete and the passage blocked. This FPR delete installs in place of the FPR to quickly complete this needed change. It is only needed in the merged configuration. Do not order it if using the FHST or separated DI and PI configurations.
2020+ CORVETTE FPR MOUNT
The FPR mount for the C8 Corvette mounts on the LH side of the vehicle near the firewall. This mount will accept both the Radium Multi-port Regulator recommended for the separated DI/PI configurations and merged configurations, and the Radium Dual Fuel Pressure Regulator for the FHST configurations with port and direct injection.
2020+ CORVETTE RWD FUEL FILTER MOUNT
This is the same mount used in the Radium Fuel Filter kits for RWD models. This mount can be used to mount a fuel filter for custom plumbing from your hanger to your regulator.

INSTALLATION NOTES
NOTE: THE REAR SUBFRAME/DRIVETRAIN ASSEMBLY MUST REMOVED TO ACCESS THE OEM FUEL TANKS.
This fuel hanger surge tank installs in the side opposite the OEM fuel pump module and the OEM fuel pump module stays in its original location. There are 3 different methods of plumbing this fuel hanger into the Corvette fuel system for different types of use.
FUEL HANGER SURGE TANK
The fuel hanger surge tank configuration with the OEM pump keeping the collector box full can be used with direct injection only, and with a combination of direct and port injection. If configured with both injection methods, a Radium 20-1102 Dual Fuel Pressure Regulator (shown) is recommended to keep the HPFP pulse oscillations to a minimum.
DIRECT INJECTION WITH MERGED PUMPS
If the vehicle does not use an aftermarket port injection fuel system and a surge tank configuration is not desired, this diagram illustrates how to plumb the two hangers to merge into eachother outside of the tank.
NOTES
- As illustrated, the Radium Engineering FPR Delete is required as all pumps use one multi port regulator.
- Because a lift pump is not used, the "OPTIONAL LIFT PUMP IN" port is plugged with the included 6AN ORB plug.
- Radium MPR P/Ns: 20-1100-00 or 20-1100-01.
DIRECT AND PORT INJECTION WITH ISOLATED FUEL SYSTEMS
This example leaves the factory direct injection plumbing completely untouched. The Radium fuel pump hanger runs a port injection system independently.
NOTES
- Because a lift pump is not used, the "OPTIONAL LIFT PUMP IN" port is plugged with the included 6AN ORB plug.
- MPR part numbers are Radium 20-1100-00 or 20-1100-01.
