OVERVIEW
This Radium Engineering fuel hanger replaces both RH and LH fuel hat assemblies. It is compatible with 1 or 2 aftermarket fuel pumps. The kit reuses both passive side and active side fuel level sensors. It is also keeps a true saddle tank crossover system using new improved components. No cutting or modifying of the vehicle is required for installation.


FITTINGS
The merged single pump outlet port is tapped for 10AN ORB (7/8"-14) female threads on the top plate. However, an SAE quick-connect barb fitting is provided to connect to the OEM feed line, as shown below.

The fuel return inlet is tapped for 10AN ORB (7/8"-14) female threads on the top plate. However, an 8.5mm barbed adapter (shown below) is provided to connect to the OEM return line. 

All fittings are machined low enough to clear the surrounding area.



COMPATIBLE FUEL PUMPS

The 20-1180 can be used with 1 or 2 aftermarket fuel pumps (sold separately). These can be 2-wire brushed fuel pumps or 3-4 wire brushless fuel pumps.

*These pumps do not feature an integrated check valve. If a check valve is necessary, purchase 20-1534 (separately) to replace the fitting(s) under the fuel hat.


FUEL STARVATION PROTECTION
Several mechanisms work together to move fuel into the integrated collector bowl and keep it full at all times. This ensures the pump(s) have adequate fuel available, even during aggressive driving. The integrated fuel tank collector is supplied with fuel from 3 different sources:
1. The OEM collector bowl has a labyrinth. This keeps fuel from leaving the collector bowl when cornering.
2. The constant low pressure returning fuel from the regulator activates the venturi jet pump siphon and also fills the collector bowl.
3. The crossover fuel scavenged from the passive side of the tank from the venturi jet pump siphon is constantly filling the collector bowl.


PRV VENTURI JET PUMP
The OEM venturi jet pump is replaced with an innovative Radium Engineering variation.

This is a common problem when using high flow pump(s) at low loads. This excessive pressure would pop-off the OEM venturi jet pump connection and prevent fuel transfer, ultimately leaving the vehicle stranded. ELECTRICAL
The custom designed stainless steel electrical studs easily handle the high current demand that compact multi-pin bulkhead connectors lack. They have an anti-rotation feature that prevents the terminals from spinning when tightening the nuts. These serviceable connections are hermetically sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels. Non-conductive anodized aluminum acorn nuts are provided to prevent any accidental short circuiting. Furthermore, the in-tank wiring is insulated with high quality chemically resistant ETFE. 

NOTES
1. Single pump installations can re-use the OEM fuel pump wiring.
2. It is recommended to upgrade OEM wiring to ensure the single pump is receiving full power and operating at maximum potential.
3. If using a second pump, a new dedicated relay and fuse pump MUST be used.

OVERVIEW
These kits provide all necessary plumbing to and from the engine including a fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, fuel lines, adapter fittings, and mounting hardware. 

First, a low profile 8AN male banjo fitting is installed to the fuel hanger pump outlet, as shown below. 

8AN PTFE fuel hose runs to the LH side over the top of the fuel tank. It then turns downward and routes along the underside of the chassis through 2 billet fuel/brake line retainers.

A new billet high flow fuel filter is mounted in the OEM location. Elements are either 10 micron stainless (-03) or 6 micron microglass (-05). Go HERE for more filter element information. 

From the fuel filter outlet, another 8AN PTFE fuel hose runs into the engine bay and towards the front of the fuel rail (not included). A low profile 8AN male banjo fitting is installed to the fuel rail, as shown below. 

A direct mount fuel pressure regulator and gauge is mounted at the rear of the fuel rail.

A new 6AN return hose with an SAE quick connect adapter is constructed to route fuel from the direct mount regulator to the rear. A low profile 6AN male banjo fitting is installed to the fuel hanger return port, as shown below.

New vacuum tubing is provided to replace the OEM hard lines.
