This fuel pump hanger is configured to be used with 1 aftermarket fuel pump. If 2 aftermarket pumps are required, the supplementary "dual pump add-on" (20-0937 listed below) would also be required. Choosing the best fuel pump is based on the expected engine power output, fuel type (gasoline, E85, etc.), and fuel pressure.

A fuel pressure regulator and external (low micron) fuel filter must be purchased separately. Optionally, the plumbing kits (see below) include both of these items.

FITTINGS

• The fuel pump outlet is threaded 10AN ORB (7/8"-14) female
  
• The fuel return inlet is threaded 8AN ORB (3/4"-16) female
• An 8AN male adapter is provided for the pump outlet
• A 6AN male adapter is provided for the return inlet
  
  

FUEL STARVATION PROTECTION

Several mechanisms work together to move fuel into the integrated collector and keep it full at all times. While results for this will vary as fuel level decreases, this ensures the pump has adequate fuel available, even during aggressive driving. The internal pump is supplied with fuel from 3 different sources:

• The consistent crossover fuel scavenged from the passive side of the fuel tank
• The constant low pressure returning fuel from the fuel pressure regulator
• Two 1-way fill valves on the bottom of the collector allow fuel in, but not out. Each 1-way valve flows 355LPH keeping the collector as full as the current fuel tank level
  
  

ELECTRICAL

The custom designed stainless steel electrical studs easily handle the high current demand that compact multi-pin bulkhead connectors lack. These serviceable connections are hermetically sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels. Non-conductive anodized aluminum acorn nuts are provided to prevent any accidental short circuiting. Furthermore, the in-tank wiring is insulated with high quality chemically resistant ETFE.

NOTES

• Single fuel pump installations can re-use the OEM fuel pump wiring
• It is recommended to upgrade OEM wiring to ensure the pumps are receiving full power and operating at maximum potential

• If fuel pressure ever needs to be adjusted lower than the OEM specification, purchase this FPR bypass located HERE.

This is a dual pump add-on to the fuel hanger listed above. It includes another independent collector specific for pump 2.

Both fuel pumps outlets merge into the single 10AN ORB outlet of the CNC machined fuel hat. And because of the check valves on the pump outlets, fuel pump staging is permitted.

The provided in-tank wiring is insulated with high quality chemically resistant ETFE.

NOTES

• Part number 20-0980 must be purchased to use the dual pump add-on. 
• If pressure ever needs to be adjusted lower than the factory setting, purchase this FPR Bypass HERE.
• This is also a compatible dual pump add-on for the C7 Corvette fuel hanger, but the C7 requires a different hanger.

These kits provide all necessary plumbing to and from the engine including a fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, fuel lines, adapter fittings, and mounting hardware.

From the fuel hanger pump outlet, 8AN PTFE fuel hose runs down to a chassis-mounted fuel filter near the fuel tank. 

From the fuel filter another 8AN PTFE fuel hose runs through the tunnel parallel to the torque tube and into the fuel pressure regulator (FPR). The hose is secured with stainless steel cushioned clamps. Furthermore, thermal insulation is included to protect the hose from the exhaust system. 

As shown above, the FPR secures to a billet aluminum mount near the brake master cylinder. NOTE: Because the brake master cylinder changed between 2008 and 2009, the mounting bracket changed accordingly (see P/Ns). The FPR has multiple high pressure ports. A SAE quick connect adapter is provided for connecting the FPR to the OEM fuel rail using the stock fuel feed line.

NOTE: If aftermarket fuel rails are used, Radium Engineering recommends feeding each of the fuel rail front ports independently and plugging the rear ports. Because of engine variances, no parts are included for this procedure.

A fuel pressure gauge and adapter fittings are provided to monitor and properly calibrate the FPR.

The OEM fuel feed "hard" line is repurposed as a return line. Adapters fittings and hose are provided for connecting both ends of the return line (FPR and Fuel Hanger).

The fuel pump hanger includes a billet top hat, an anodized collector box with one-way fill valves, and all hardware needed to install one pump into the hanger. A hardware pack with ring terminals and heat shrink is included to help complete the electrical wiring inside and at the top hat externally. Pump is not included.

The dual pump add-on includes all hardware needed to install a second pump into your 20-0980 Fuel Pump Hanger. It includes a second anodized collector box and stainless brackets. Pump is not included.
