Installation on supercharged models will require relocation or removal of the charcoal canister.

OVERVIEW

This comprehensive installation kit includes everything required to install a Radium FSTR-RA in a US Market 2ZZ-GE powered Lotus Elise/Exige. The kit locates the FSTR-RA on the right hand side of the vehicle near the alternator.

The kit was designed for non-supercharged models with the 2ZZ-GE engine. This location is compatible with A/C equipped cars and is ideal if the clamshell is modular. However, for the OEM supercharged Elise/Exige, Lotus relocated the emissions charcoal canister to this area. The charcoal canister will have to be removed or relocated. Lotus Cup Cars do not use a charcoal canister so this kit is viable. 

To plumb the overflow port on the FST back to the tank, a billet fuel filler adapter is provided for the Elise and Exige. If installing into the rare Lotus Cup Car or Lotus 2-Eleven, Radium part 14-0062 will need to purchased separately to adapt to the larger fuel filler hose associated with these vehicles.

This kit is compliant with all popular alcohol fuels including E85. All factory fuel lines are replaced with high quality 6AN PTFE hose. It is also compatible with both the OEM fuel rail as well as a Radium Fuel Rail. The install kit is designed to be used with the Radium FST-R which has an integrated fuel pressure regulator built-in. This means that no external regulator needs to be purchased. 

TESTING DATA

Shown below is data from an 18 minute track session of our Lotus Elise without a fuel surge tank installed. This data shows why a surge tank is necessary on these cars.

• Pressure SHOULD be ~47.5psi constant

NOTES

• The physical FSTR-RA is sold separately and can be purchased from the checkboxes on the right.
• If installing the newest Radium FST-R, the provided electrical power plug in this install kit will simply need to be cut off and replaced with the ring terminals provided with the surge tank.
• Depending on the flow rate of the fuel pump installed into the FST, a drop-in fuel pump upgrade may be required in the main tank. The main tank's pump is responsible for keeping the surge tank full, and requires a pump that flows around 40% to 50% of what the surge tank pump flows. This is an estimate and will vary.

ORDERING

This installation requires purchasing the install kit, the surge tank and the fuel pump for the surge tank separately. Many different fuel pumps can be installed into the surge tank and the available pump options from Radium directly are listed in the check boxes to the right.

To order a complete kit, select the install kit, the surge tank, and one fuel pump. To use a fuel pump other than what is listed, do not select a fuel pump from the checkboxes and order the desired fuel pump from another source.
