OVERVIEW

The Radium fuel rail for the 6-cylinder Toyota 2JZ-GE (Non-Turbo) engine is manufactured with a large 8AN ORB internal bore supporting all horsepower requirements. They are CNC machined from 6063 aluminum, black anodized, and laser etched for a high quality surface finish. For flexibility, the fuel rail features four 8AN ORB ports and is compatible with all fuel types including popular alcohol mixtures such as E85.

OEM FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR

Late model 2JZ-GE vehicles use a returnless fuel system where the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) is integrated into the pump assembly. However, early model 2JZ-GE vehicles use a traditional fuel system with the FPR mounted directly to the fuel rail. For these setups, an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator will be required.

FUEL INJECTOR COMPATIBILITY - OEM

The Radium Engineering fuel rail features 11mm injector bores making it compatible with ALL factory Toyota 2JZ-GE (Non Turbo) fuel injectors. This includes non VVT-i and VVT-i engines as well as air-assist and non air-assist injectors. No modifications are needed. If preparing to use aftermarket fuel injectors, read below.

FUEL INJECTOR COMPATIBILITY - AFTERMARKET, NO AIR ASSIST

For engines that do NOT use Toyota air assist equipment, use your preferred injector manufacturer's suggestion for OEM equivalent fuel injectors. Do NOT use the injectors listed below, they are for air-assist applications only. Aftermarket injectors must match the OEM height and o-ring dimensions. Consult the injector manufacturer for more information on compatible injectors. Radium can not make injector recommendations other than stating they must be "OEM equivalent"

FUEL INJECTOR COMPATIBILITY - AFTERMARKET, AIR ASSIST

Late model (and California-spec) 2JZ-GE engines use Toyota air-assist emissions equipment. These engines use a unique OEM fuel injector that is not replicated in the aftermarket. Air-assist intake manifolds require the Radium injector seats in order to use universal aftermarket fuel injectors, as shown in the picture below. When the provided Radium injector seats are installed into these air-assist intake manifolds, an aftermarket injector that is 60mm long with 11mm upper O-ring and 14mm lower O-ring must be used. While many injector manufacturers will offer a compatible injector, these examples from Injector Dynamics have been verified to be compatible.

PORTS AND FITTINGS

This fuel rail features four ports (both ends and two on the bottom) that are female tapped for 8AN ORB fittings. However, the front port is not useable unless the OEM engine harness is modified.

Appropriate fittings must be selected based on the specific application. Ample space around the fuel rail port(s) is necessary for larger accessories such as fuel pressure regulators, fuel pressure gauges, and fuel pulse dampers. To verify clearance, the dimensional drawings on the product pages can be used as a reference guide.

20-0871-PK FUEL RAIL PLUMBING, TOYOTA 2JZ-GE, RETURNLESS

The fuel rail plumbing kit permits a complete fuel rail bolt-on affair. The provided inverted flare adapter fitting converts the factory hard line to 6AN. The included 6AN PTFE fuel line routes fuel to the rear fuel rail port through a low profile swivel fitting. A fuel pulse damper is provided to keep fuel pressure stable. The remaining fuel rail ports are plugged.
