FUEL INJECTORS

There are two type of fuel rails made by Radium: upgrade rails and top feed conversion rails. Upgrade rails only upgrade the rail and the OEM fuel injectors can be reused. If an upgrade to the injectors is desired, they must be equivalent to the OEM injector, meaning they must be the same height and the upper & lower O-rings must match the OEM diameters and styles. Top feed conversion rails are used to convert a vehicle that has side feed (or sometimes air-assist) injectors over to a top feed injector.


This fuel rail is an upgrade rail. OEM or OEM equivalent injectors must be used.


Radium does not make fuel injector recommendations.

  • Consult your tuner for injector brand or flow rate recommendations.
  • Consult the injector manufacturer for a part number that has the correct dimensions.

OVERVIEW

20-0533-02 Fuel Rail, Mitsubishi, Early 4G63

Manufactured with a large 0.69" internal bore, the fuel rail can support all necessary engine power requirements. The rail is CNC machined from solid 6061 aluminum, anodized and laser etched for a high quality surface finish. It is compatible with all fuel types including popular alcohol mixtures such as E85.The Radium fuel rail eliminates the OEM 2-bolt inlet flange which uses a restrictive 0.22" (5.7mm) orifice.

The Radium fuel rail eliminates the OEM 2-bolt inlet flange which uses a restrictive 0.22" (5.7mm) orifice. The fuel rail reuses the 3 OEM mounting spacers (Mitsubishi MD095402) to thermally insulate the fuel rail from the intake manifold. Furthermore, thermal insulating washers are provided for the stainless steel mounting hardware. Mounting bosses mimic the factory fuel rail for securing the cable(s) that pass by with the OEM brackets.

The fuel rail features four (4) threaded ports that are tapped for 8AN ORB fittings.

Appropriate fittings must be selected based on the specific application and type of hose to be used. Ample space around the fuel rail port(s) is necessary for larger accessories such as fuel pressure regulators, fuel pressure gauges, and fuel pulse dampers. To verify clearance, the dimensional drawings on the product pages can be used as a reference guide.
For any ports that are not going to be used, simply install an 8AN ORB plug (available on the 8AN ORB adapter page).

20-0533-PK Fuel Rail Plumbing, Mitsubishi, Early 4G63

The plumbing kit includes the items in the image below and is ideal when when using the factory regulator and fuel lines. 

This kit replaces the restrictive OEM banjo bolt and runs a 6AN (3/8") hose directly from the fuel filter to the fuel rail. In addition, two FPR adapters are included to reuse either variation of the Mitsubishi OEM fuel pressure regulator. All necessary fittings are included for an easy bolt-in installation.
