Description

OVERVIEW

These fuel level sending units use the standard SAE 5-bolt mounting pattern, extensively used with all Radium fuel cell surge tanks. Suitable for use with gasoline, diesel, water, and all alcohol based fuels including methanol, ethanol, E85, etc. Full stainless steel sealed construction with magnetic float.

NOTES

All level senders are 0 ohms empty to 90 ohms full (common with many aftermarket gauges.)
Radium does not sell fuel level gauges, but a popular option is this Autometer Fuel Level Gauge
To test the sender, measure the resistance between the two wires while tipping the sender to allow the float to move
If purchased with a Radium FCST or FCST-X, the sender will come pre-installed
If the output of this sender is not compatible with your OEM fuel gauge, consider a resistance signal converter, FOUND HERE. (Radium Engineering does not have experience with this product, contact Classic Instruments for more information)
Shrouded senders (20-0847-XXX) are only compatible with newer Radium FCSTs (20-099X-XX) and FCST-Xs (20-199X-XX). Because the shroud is 40mm in diameter, the thru hole must be at least this size
For previous Radium 20-049X-XX and 20-069X-XX FCST versions, the non-shrouded Radium 20-0747-XXX must be used
Non-shrouded Radium 20-0747-203 (discontinued) and 20-0747-297 (while supplies last) level senders are compatible with all Radium FCST and FCST-X part numbers

20-0747-297 Fuel Level Sender 0-90 ohm 11.7in

This level sender is suited for older 20-049X series and 20-069X series FCST units. It can also be used in newer FCST and FCST-X, but the shrouded unit is suggested for those newer versions.

This length is used in 14 gallon and 22 gallon RA-Series Fuel Cells.

Note: This sender will be discontinued when supply runs out.

This level sender is suited for the last 20-099x series of FCST and the new FCST-X. It's diameter is slightly too large to fit into the older units.

This length is used in 6 gallon, 10 gallon, and 10.5 gallon spare tire RA-Series Fuel Cells.

20-0439 12AN ORB to 5-Bolt SAE Adapter

When a level sender is not used, this adapter can be used to increase venting for custom installations. It converts the fuel level flange to a large 12AN ORB female port.

NOTE: a fuel level sender cannot be used with this adapter in place.

20-0146 Fuel Level Sender Block-Off

This block-off plate kit is used when the 5-bolt SAE flanged fuel level sensor is not used. This is extensively used for customers with all Radium fuel cell surge tanks. NOTE: Radium 20-049X-XX FCST does not require the sealing washers.
