The Radium fuel pump hanger for the late model Subaru vehicles replaces the stock in-tank hanger and allows the use of 1 or 2 high-flow aftermarket fuel pumps in the stock fuel tank. No permanent modifications to the vehicle are required making installation a simple bolt-on job. Each fuel pump has it's own dedicated 6AN male outlet, which can be combined together into single feed line with the use of a "Y" fitting, or with one of the plumbing kit options on this page. The return fuel and crossover fittings are also 6AN male. The system is safe to use with alternative fuels such as E85.
The machined assembly mounts in the factory fuel tank using the OEM hold-down flange and gasket. The OEM fuel level sender and temperature sensor (if equipped) are retained. 

Unlike compact multi-pin electrical connectors, the custom designed stainless steel electrical studs easily handle the high current demand from aftermarket fuel pumps. These serviceable connections are hermetically sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels. The low profile design keeps all wiring tucked nicely underneath the OEM cover plate. Nonconductive acorn nuts are provided to prevent any accidental short circuits. Crimp-on ring terminals and heat shrink are provided for external wiring connections.

The kit includes a venturi jet pump integrated within the collector box that features a new integrated pressure relief valve. This device transfers fuel from the passive side of the OEM fuel tank to the active side where the pump(s) reside. 
When fuel pump flow is increased, the OEM jet pump becomes too restrictive creating unwanted backpressure in the FPR return line causing excessive fuel rail pressure. The unique design of the Radium jet pump creates suction while not providing too much restriction in fuel return line.

The anodized aluminum collector box keeps fuel trapped around the pumps, helping to prevent fuel starvation. There is a 1" check valve incorporated on the front side of the tank that serves as a trap door that allows fuel in but not out of the collector box. Furthermore, all returning fuel from the pressure regulator return and the crossover hose enter the collector box through a one-way duckbill valve keeping it full. The duckbill valve prevents back flow and reduces noise from fuel spray. The collector box also permits a mounting solution for the OEM fuel level sender.

Single pump applications can reuse the OEM fuel pump controller wiring, but it is recommended to upgrade the OEM wiring as high flow fuel pumps draw additional current requiring larger gauge wire. Fuel pump wiring kits can be purchased HERE. Select qty1 for single pump applications and qty2 for dual pump applications.
When using two pumps, it is highly recommended to stage the second pump to only come on when needed, such as under boost. This can be done with a programmable engine management system or with a pressure switch, such as THIS  ONE.
Each pump has it's own dedicated +/- electrical connections.

The factory level sender and fuel temperature sensor are re-used. Consult the installation instructions link at the top of this page for more details. 


PUMPS NOT INCLUDED - Select this option if you already have compatible fuel pumps and wish to install them into the hanger. Enough parts are included to install one or two pumps. To ensure proper parts included, make sure the correct hanger is selected for the model of pump you have.
SINGLE PUMP INCLUDED - Select this option if you wish to only run a single pump in the hanger. It will come pre-assembled with the pump installed. Parts to add a second pump are NOT included with this setup.
DUAL PUMPS INCLUDED - Select this option for a fully assembled hanger with both pumps preinstalled.

If supplying your own pumps, you must use a flexible fuel pump filter sock like the one shown HERE. These socks also come standard with new AEM fuel pumps.

The following plumbing kits have been verified to fit in the 08-14 Impreza, WRX, STi, and 2015+ STi. Other Subaru models have NOT been tested.

Read before proceeding:
"FUEL HANGER PLUMBING KITS" Provide the parts necessary to connect the Radium fuel pump hanger to the factory fuel hard lines right at the fuel tank.
Select one of these options if planning to utilize the factory feed/return lines. NOTE: It is recommended to use a minimum 3/8" (6AN) feed line when using dual pumps and not the stock feed hard line which is 5/16".

"FUEL PLUMBING KITS" Are comprehensive kits that provide all new high flow -AN feed and return lines up to the engine bay. Also included is a high flow fuel filter and specially designed mounting bracket, and all necessary fittings to connect to the Radium fuel pump hanger.

This kit includes fittings and hose to make the Radium Engineering fuel pump hanger a direct bolt-in OEM replacement. It works for both single and dual pump configuration. This kit reuses the OEM hard fuel lines and does NOT require any extra fuel hose plumbing.  


This kit includes fittings to make the fuel pump hanger with a single pump a direct bolt-in OEM replacement. This kit reuses the OEM hard fuel lines and does NOT require any extra fuel hose plumbing excluding Subaru FA20F engine applications which require an external fuel pressure regulator and corresponding hoses. 

This kit includes fittings and hose to make the fuel pump hanger with dual pumps a direct bolt-in OEM replacement. This kit reuses the OEM hard fuel lines and does NOT require any extra fuel hose plumbing excluding Subaru FA20F engine applications which require an external fuel pressure regulator and corresponding hoses.  

20-0529-03 and 20-0529-05 FUEL PLUMBING KIT, SUBARU 08-14 
These optional fuel plumbing kits include fittings, hoses, filter, hardware, etc. Unlike the fuel hanger plumbing kits, this kit replaces the OEM hard fuel lines. Select the -03 version for a stainless steel fuel filter element, or the -05 version for a microglass filter element.

An 8AN PTFE feed line goes from the hanger up to the Radium fuel filter mounted under the car as shown below. From the filter, an 8AN rubber hose is supplied to go to the engine and fuel rails.
A 6AN rubber return line is included to go from the engine bay back to the fuel pump hanger. 

1. Not compatible with any other other chassis including 2015+ Subaru VA.
2. Aftermarket fuel rails and fuel pressure regulator are recommended.  

They add the necessary post pump filtration required when using the Radium Engineering fuel pump hanger. As shown below, billet aluminum retainers are included to secure the fuel lines.

The only difference between the 2 kits is the filter element (20-0529-03=stainless, 20-0529-05=microglass). More info can be found HERE

The filter bracket mounts to the chassis with no drilling or permanent modifications required.

Amazing Quality
I haven't even installed this yet (Walbro 450 - E85) and decided to write a review. This piece looks amazing and I only wish all my aftermarket parts came looking like this, even the install instructions are great. Well constructed and I have no doubt it will out perform the stock piece as well as retain all normal functions. The plumbing kit makes it super easy to install and the hardwire kit is a necessity for this size pump. On a side note for STI owners, to retain functionality of the duty cycles on high amp pumps, a fuel pump controller solution will be required to not burn up the stock unit (~15 amp maximum). The Walbro 450 runs at ~22 amps during 100% duty cycle. Keep on bringing the Subaru parts, I need more.
