The Radium fuel pump hanger allows the use of 1 or 2 aftermarket pumps in the stock fuel tank. This item is NOT a fuel surge tank. Fuel surge tanks can be found HERE. The Radium fuel pump hanger has been designed and optimized for use with high horsepower systems. AN fittings allow the use of afermarket high flow hose and the venturi jet pump is specially designed for high flow applications.

This hanger is a drop-in replacement for the following models:
08-14 Subaru Impreza (Incl. WRX and STi)
08-14 Subaru Forester (all)
05-09 Subaru Legacy (Incl. 2.5GT)
05-09 Subaru Outback (Incl. XT)
2015+ Subaru STI
*2015+ Subaru WRX
*This application requires Radium 20-0350 Fuel Level Sender Adapter, Denso. This can be selected in the options above.


Features

The machined assembly mounts in the factory fuel tank using the OEM hold-down flange and gasket. The OEM fuel level sender and temperature sensor (if equipped) are retained. Four -6AN male fittings (2 pump outlets, 1 return, 1 crossover) allow connection of aftermarket -AN hose.

The custom designed stainless electrical studs easily handle the high current demand that compact bulkhead connectors lack. These serviceable connections are properly sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels. The low profile design keeps all wiring tucked nicely underneath the OEM cover plate. Nylon acorn nuts are provided to prevent any accidental short circuits. Furthermore, the high quality in-tank wiring is insulated with chemically resistant PTFE. 

Crimp-on ring terminals and heat shrink are provided for external wiring connections.

The kit includes a venturi jet pump with a new integrated pressure relief valve. Without a properly designed jet pump, fuel cannot be properly transferred from the passive side of the OEM saddle bag fuel tank to the active side where the pump(s) reside. When fuel pump flow is increased, the OEM jet pump becomes too restrictive creating unwanted backpressure in the FPR return line causing excessive fuel rail pressure.

The kit also includes an anodized aluminum collector box which improves the fuel supply around the pump(s) inlet. There is a 1" check valve incorporated on the front side of the tank that serves as a trap door keeping the pump(s) supplied with fuel during aggressive driving. Furthermore, all returning fuel from the pressure regulator return and the crossover hose enter the collector box through a one-way duckbill valve keeping it full. The duckbill valve prevents back flow and reduces noise from fuel spray. The collector box also permits a mounting solution for the OEM fuel level sender. This new revision simplifies installation and permits the hanger to be simply dropped into the tank in 1-piece.

Single pump applications can reuse the OEM fuel pump controller wiring, but it is recommended to upgrade the OEM wiring as high flow fuel pumps draw additional current requiring larger gauge wire. Fuel pump wiring kits can be purchased HERE. Select qty1 for single pump applications and qty2 for dual pump applications.

Fuel Pump Configurations

If supplying your own pump(s), select the option "Pumps Not Included" from the menu. 

Notes:
1. There will be enough components included with this option to use 1 or 2 fuel pumps. Depending on the setup, some parts will simply not be used
.
2. A pliable fuel pump filter sock like this HERE must be used for proper fitment. 

Pre-built single pump configurations DO NOT come with extra parts to run a second pump! Extra parts will need to be purchased in order to add a second pump.


Plumbing Kits

The optional plumbing kits include fittings and hoses to make the fuel pump hanger a direct bolt-in OEM replacement for both single and dual pump configurations. These kits do NOT require any extra fuel hose plumbing excluding Subaru FA20F engine applications which require an external fuel pressure regulator and corresponding hoses.

Amazing Quality
I haven't even installed this yet (Walbro 450 - E85) and decided to write a review. This piece looks amazing and I only wish all my aftermarket parts came looking like this, even the install instructions are great. Well constructed and I have no doubt it will out perform the stock piece as well as retain all normal functions. The plumbing kit makes it super easy to install and the hardwire kit is a necessity for this size pump. On a side note for STI owners, to retain functionality of the duty cycles on high amp pumps, a fuel pump controller solution will be required to not burn up the stock unit (~15 amp maximum). The Walbro 450 runs at ~22 amps during 100% duty cycle. Keep on bringing the Subaru parts, I need more.
